THE JOB - Mars

This is a highly exciting new position and investment in the Mars Drinks and Treats business unit as an additional category resource focused on the continued development of the Mars brand across all major retail and wholesale trade channels and major customers.

You will analyse insight data to grow the Mars brands, shaping internal and external reports as well as working extensively with the Brand Owner and National Account team to build tailor-made and exciting category stories focused on specific business development objectives. Furthermore, you will develop your experience and support the NAMs at customer meetings with buyers by presenting your category ‘stories’ all focused on helping to build the Mars brand and developing profitable sales growth. So……. a real centre stage opportunity to play an effective role where you can really demonstrate your capabilities to make a difference and further grow your category skills and experience.

The role reports to the Head of Category & Insight and requires 3 days per week at the modern and spacious SHS Gloucester based head office

ABOUT YOU

You are a graduate calibre individual who has shaped your early career in FMCG category management or consumer insights where you have gained a sound understanding of interpreting complex data into reports and or presentations aligned to business objectives. You love seeing trends and ‘angles’ from data and have a natural ability of seeing, building and presenting fact-based stories.

Currently working with an FMCG manufacturer as a category or insight executive or at one of the leading insight agencies in a client facing role and now looking to move your career into a brand owner category role where you can take the lead in presenting your ‘stories’ directly to retail and wholesale accounts.
